Work Student (m/f/d) in the field of Embedded Systems

At the Steinbeis Research Center for System Design and Test (Chemnitz branch), we design and prototype professional measurement equipment for testing and qualification of semiconductor devices. Our solutions target renowned power semiconductor manufacturers in Germany and Europe, and accurate power supplies and multimeters are required for fast binning of power components like IGBTs, MOSFETs and diodes.

We are currently looking for students who are eager to work on hardware and software tasks on a part-time basis in order to support our engineering team.

Your Tasks:

  • Documentation of schematics and firmware.
  • Verification of Prototype Boards.
  • Programming of microcontrollers.
  • Test of communication protocols.
  • Test of Graphical User Interfaces.

Your profile:

  • You are a master student in Embedded Systems, Information Technology, or similar.
  • You have hands-on experience on the programming of embedded systems (C / C++), you are familiar with toolchains and build systems (GNU Arm, make, CMake).
  • You understand electronic schematics descriptions.
  • You are familiar with design and integration of Graphical User Interfaces using the Qt Framework.

We Offer:

  • Flexible working hours (up to 20 hours per week)
